The Albion – 2012

Posted on

Night Reviewed: Thursday

We were not looking forward to this review as the beer had been undrinkable on our previous visit and the atmosphere was like a morgue. However, on entering the pub things immediately looked better. There were some other punters for a start, the music was good, it looked like it had had a refurbishment and, most importantly, the beer was good. Maybe it has changed hands? Whatever had happened, we approve! It has always had the feel of a proper pub and it should do well. From this visit it looks like they are moving in the right direction.

Scores

Beer Choice (1 – 5): 2
Beer Quality (1 – 10): 7
Service (1 – 5): 4
Atmosphere (1 – 10): 7
Décor (1 – 5): 4

TOTAL: 27 (out of 35)

Was in a couple of weeks ago and the bar lady said it had been bought privately and was a free house. Vast improvement on the Tetley house it was, recommend you visit as I will again!

Thanks for the info Nigel. Sounds promising and we’ll have to give it another visit soon.
