This is the scoring system we’ve devised for reviewing the pubs. We think it’s the fairest way to do things:
1 (Very Poor) – 10 (Excellent) Scores
- Beer Quality
The main criteria for a good pub in our opinion is the quality of the beer and the atmosphere. Therefore scoring these qualities out of 10 will give them a higher input into the overall score.
1 (Very Poor) – 5 (Excellent) Scores
- Beer Choice
Beer choice, service and décor are all important, but less so in the grand scheme of things and so are scored out of 5 to give them less impact on the outcome.
If we encounter any truly terrible toilets then we’ll simply dock some points as we see fit – depending on how bad they are.
